Performance prediction of piston engines with variable pitch constant speed propeller is complex process. We provide shaft power and fuel consumption versus RPM graphs at various throttle position, altitude and atmospheric conditions, by full engine simulation. Otherwise, analysis of propeller power and thrust coefficients versus advanced ratio graphs at different propeller pitch, inform us about propeller efficiency at each combination of revolution, altitude, temperature, speed and pitch. Now, coupling of engine and propeller performance is performed in a complex way that best efficiency or best endurance or maximum thrust could be achieved.
